Property owners step up and support the Art Walk Board.

For immediate release:

On Wednesday, September 29, a number of major property owners within the Historic Downtown and Old Bank District neighborhood met to discuss the Downtown Art Walk. It was agreed that the Downtown Art Walk is an event that has contributed significantly to the revitalization of Downtown and is of vital importance to the Downtown community from a cultural and economic perspective. The owners agreed that adequate funding must be provided for the Board of Art Walk to ensure that it is a professional, sustainable organization, capable of guiding and promoting this dynamic ongoing neighborhood phenomenon. The properties listed below are the first group of owners who have agreed to provide funds on a monthly basis, totaling close to $200,000 per year. More property owners are expected to join over the coming week, increasing that amount to an initial baseline of $250,000. The property owners look forward to working with a new, expanded Board, which reflects the best of Downtown’s creative, residential and business community, and offer their continuing support.
